Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Energy and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.83%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 3.88% or 0.05 points to trade at 1.26 at the close. Meanwhile, Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) added 1.63% or 7.3 points to end at 454.9 and Schibsted ASA B (OL:SBSTB) was up 0.76% or 1.50 points to 198.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which fell 4.34% or 1.79 points to trade at 39.48 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 3.82% or 0.7 points to end at 16.9 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was down 3.07% or 0.77 points to 24.32.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 101 to 77 and 25 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.56% or 0.85 to $53.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.64% or 0.93 to hit $55.73 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.44% or 5.45 to trade at $1233.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.27% to 8.8325, while USD/NOK rose 0.12% to 8.3715.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 101.41.
