Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Diversified Financials, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Energy sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.71%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which rose 2.39% or 5.1 points to trade at 218.1 at the close. Meanwhile, Schibsted ASA B (OL:SBSTB) added 2.24% or 4.50 points to end at 205.50 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was up 1.82% or 0.02 points to 1.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which fell 28.41% or 6.4 points to trade at 16.1 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) declined 4.89% or 7.70 points to end at 149.70 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was down 3.56% or 7.3 points to 197.5.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 127 to 57 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.37% or 0.72 to $53.35 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.57% or 0.87 to hit $56.19 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.55% or 18.50 to trade at $1214.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.02% to 8.8963, while USD/NOK fell 0.92% to 8.2404.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.89% at 99.53.
