Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Transport and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which rose 2.15% or 6.8 points to trade at 322.4 at the close. Meanwhile, P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) added 1.34% or 4.00 points to end at 303.00 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) was up 1.07% or 1.5 points to 141.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which fell 7.26% or 1.42 points to trade at 18.15 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 5.23% or 12.1 points to end at 219.4 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was down 4.38% or 2.12 points to 46.23.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 121 to 56 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) fell to 52-week lows; losing 5.23% or 12.1 to 219.4.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 4.14% or 1.98 to $45.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 3.98% or 2.02 to hit $48.77 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.47% or 18.32 to trade at $1230.18 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 1.11% to 9.5231, while USD/NOK rose 0.30% to 8.6776.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.56% at 98.70.
