Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Insurance, Materials and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 7.45% or 1.0 points to trade at 14.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) added 4.72% or 2.07 points to end at 45.88 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was up 3.27% or 0.87 points to 27.51 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which fell 6.74% or 23.2 points to trade at 321.0 at the close. Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) declined 5.59% or 4.50 points to end at 76.00 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) was down 5.53% or 7.9 points to 135.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 98 to 90 and 17 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.13% or 0.59 to $52.93 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.73% or 0.40 to hit $55.52 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.42% or 5.25 to trade at $1234.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.09% to 8.8886, while USD/NOK rose 0.28% to 8.3391.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 100.60.
