Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Energy and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which rose 2.95% or 1.19 points to trade at 41.58 at the close. Meanwhile, Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) added 2.58% or 0.7 points to end at 28.6 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was up 1.97% or 0.57 points to 29.47 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 2.90% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.34 at the close. Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) declined 1.59% or 0.76 points to end at 46.97 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was down 1.56% or 2.50 points to 157.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 91 to 83 and 31 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.52% or 0.27 to $52.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $55.84 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.31% or 15.65 to trade at $1211.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.12% to 9.0563, while USD/NOK fell 0.74% to 8.4689.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.05% at 100.46.
