Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance, Diversified Financials and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which rose 3.48% or 0.47 points to trade at 13.99 at the close. Meanwhile, Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI) added 3.13% or 2.20 points to end at 72.55 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 0.61% or 0.25 points to 46.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 3.18% or 6.90 points to trade at 279.57 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 2.46% or 0.48 points to end at 19.00 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) was down 2.45% or 3.4 points to 135.4.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 96 to 72 and 37 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.87% or 0.45 to $52.01 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.58% or 0.35 to hit $60.75 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 5.50 to trade at $1225.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.03% to 9.7069, while USD/NOK fell 0.47% to 8.5632.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 96.982.
