Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Software & Computer Services, Healthcare Equipment & Services and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.40%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which rose 4.13% or 7.5 points to trade at 189.2 at the close. Meanwhile, BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) added 3.62% or 1.57 points to end at 44.95 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 3.24% or 0.24 points to 7.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO), which fell 1.62% or 0.95 points to trade at 57.55 at the close. Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) declined 0.76% or 3.3 points to end at 429.2 and Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) was down 0.46% or 0.1 points to 10.8.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 124 to 57 and 25 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.81% or 0.40 to $48.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.82% or 0.43 to hit $51.76 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.35% or 4.20 to trade at $1199.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 1.12% to 9.1781, while USD/NOK rose 0.28% to 8.6057.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 101.47.
