Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.29% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP), which rose 7.00% or 8.60 points to trade at 131.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) added 5.47% or 5.2 points to end at 100.3 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was up 4.85% or 0.99 points to 21.41 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which fell 2.54% or 1.01 points to trade at 38.74 at the close. Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) declined 2.37% or 1.50 points to end at 61.70 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was down 2.26% or 0.02 points to 1.04.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 123 to 56 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.47% or 5.2 to 100.3.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 4.59% or 1.99 to $45.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 4.25% or 1.89 to hit $46.32 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.14% or 1.65 to trade at $1223.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.53% to 9.0500, while USD/NOK fell 0.45% to 8.4360.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.14% at 100.17.
