Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Media and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.17%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo), which rose 5.15% or 26.0 points to trade at 531.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Schibsted ASA (OSLO:SBST) added 4.83% or 21.8 points to end at 473.0 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) was up 4.46% or 3.0 points to 70.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO), which fell 5.05% or 0.65 points to trade at 12.21 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) declined 2.96% or 1.55 points to end at 50.80 and Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) was down 2.52% or 2.5 points to 98.8.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 111 to 72 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.10% or 0.65 to $59.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.13% or 0.09 to hit $65.62 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.50% or 5.90 to trade at $1188.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.11% to 8.3848, while USD/NOK rose 0.17% to 7.4634.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 94.70.
