Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Healthcare Equipment & Services and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.86%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 3.19% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.33 at the close. Meanwhile, Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) added 2.37% or 2.1 points to end at 92.7 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) was up 2.19% or 1.35 points to 63.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA), which fell 0.60% or 2.10 points to trade at 349.90 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 0.40% or 0.10 points to end at 24.77 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was down 0.38% or 0.50 points to 130.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 102 to 71 and 28 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.92% or 1.47 to $51.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 2.44% or 1.26 to hit $52.94 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.70% or 8.85 to trade at $1271.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.19% to 8.9345, while USD/NOK fell 0.07% to 8.1475.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 97.91.
