Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Commercial Service And Supplies, Auto & components and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 6.66% or 1.9 points to trade at 29.9 at the close. Meanwhile, P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) added 5.36% or 17.10 points to end at 336.30 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) was up 2.54% or 5.90 points to 238.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 1.59% or 0.02 points to trade at 1.36 at the close. Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) declined 1.10% or 1.2 points to end at 107.9 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) was down 0.88% or 0.38 points to 42.69.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 104 to 69 and 23 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.83% or 1.44 to $52.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.85% or 1.53 to hit $55.17 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.34% or 4.05 to trade at $1181.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.25% to 9.0614, while USD/NOK rose 0.52% to 8.6482.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.66% at 102.68.
