Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Diversified Financials, Telecoms and Auto & components sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which rose 7.87% or 0.12 points to trade at 1.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) added 4.44% or 2.08 points to end at 48.90 and DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) was up 3.40% or 0.37 points to 11.24 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC), which fell 1.55% or 5.0 points to trade at 318.0 at the close. Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) declined 1.40% or 0.8 points to end at 59.6 and Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA) was down 1.02% or 0.65 points to 63.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 100 to 76 and 2 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.49% or 0.88 to $58.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.07% or 0.68 to hit $62.63 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.33% or 3.90 to trade at $1172.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.01% to 8.8380, while USD/NOK fell 1.11% to 7.8641.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.78% at 95.63.
