Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Diversified Financials, Healthcare Equipment & Services and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which rose 5.12% or 0.72 points to trade at 14.69 at the close. Meanwhile, Aker ASA (OL:AKER) added 2.91% or 17.0 points to end at 602.0 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 2.17% or 5.9 points to 277.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 4.18% or 0.04 points to trade at 0.91 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 2.74% or 7.00 points to end at 248.20 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was down 1.48% or 0.74 points to 49.28.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 86 to 84 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) fell to 52-week lows; losing 4.18% or 0.04 to 0.91.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 3.03% or 2.06 to $70.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.76% or 1.31 to hit $75.86 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.52% or 6.60 to trade at $1262.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.16% to 9.4690, while USD/NOK rose 0.11% to 8.1120.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 94.18.
