Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Materials, Utilities and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 5.05% or 0.8 points to trade at 15.6 at the close. Meanwhile, Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) added 3.74% or 2.10 points to end at 58.30 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was up 2.73% or 7.5 points to 281.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orkla ASA (OL:ORK), which fell 1.71% or 1.30 points to trade at 74.70 at the close. P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) declined 1.27% or 4.20 points to end at 327.60 and Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was down 1.24% or 5.9 points to 468.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 111 to 75 and 20 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.06% or 1.09 to $54.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.19% or 1.22 to hit $56.85 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.05 to trade at $1235.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.27% to 8.9103, while USD/NOK rose 0.33% to 8.3666.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 100.62.
