Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were KPN Kon (AS:KPN), which rose 3.43% or 0.100 points to trade at 3.013 at the close. Meanwhile, ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd) added 2.53% or 0.52 points to end at 21.07 and Relx NV (AS:RELN) was up 1.92% or 0.290 points to 15.425 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unibail Rodamco SE (AS:UNBP), which fell 2.65% or 5.90 points to trade at 216.80 at the close. Aalberts Industries (AS:AALB) declined 1.96% or 0.57 points to end at 28.71 and DSM Kon (AS:DSMN) was down 1.44% or 0.85 points to 58.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 104 to 63 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd) rose to all time highs; rising 2.53% or 0.52 to 21.07.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 0.90% to 17.54.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.59% or 0.78 to $49.96 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.66% or 0.83 to hit $50.81 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.23% or 2.85 to trade at $1269.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.15% to 1.0892, while EUR/GBP rose 0.47% to 0.8949.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.34% at 98.93.
