Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX added 0.16% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were OCI (AS:OCI), which rose 5.73% or 0.985 points to trade at 18.185 at the close. Meanwhile, Delta Lloyd (AS:DLL) added 5.14% or 0.31 points to end at 6.30 and Heineken (AS:HEIN) was up 2.56% or 1.97 points to 79.03 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Royal Dutch Shell A (AS:RDSa), which fell 1.56% or 0.34 points to trade at 21.84 at the close. Ahold Kon (AS:AHLN) declined 1.48% or 0.30 points to end at 19.98 and Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc) was down 1.16% or 0.41 points to 34.52.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 113 to 52 and 7 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 9.41% to 18.59 a new 6-months low.
Crude oil for April delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $40.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.72% or 0.30 to hit $41.24 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.85% or 10.80 to trade at $1254.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.38% to 1.1273, while EUR/GBP fell 0.44% to 0.7781.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.30% at 95.05.
