Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Chemicals and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 1.26%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Cartier Saada (CS:CRS), which rose 8.50% or 1.95 points to trade at 24.90 at the close. Meanwhile, SMI (CS:SMI) added 5.84% or 159 points to end at 2880 and Eqdom (CS:EQDM) was up 5.00% or 50 points to 1050 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BCP (CS:BCP), which fell 9.25% or 28.55 points to trade at 280.10 at the close. Timar (CS:TIM) declined 5.99% or 15.50 points to end at 243.05 and Med Paper (CS:PAP) was down 5.97% or 2.00 points to 31.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 26 to 19 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Cartier Saada (CS:CRS) rose to all time highs; up 8.50% or 1.95 to 24.90.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.39% or 0.73 to $53.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.59% or 0.88 to hit $56.20 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.57% or 18.75 to trade at $1214.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.34% to 10.7690, while USD/MAD fell 0.57% to 9.9797.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.90% at 99.52.
