Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Holding Companies and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.62%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were SMI (CS:SMI), which rose 5.96% or 161 points to trade at 2861 at the close. Meanwhile, Oulmes (CS:OULM) added 5.63% or 80 points to end at 1500 and Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) was up 5.13% or 1.18 points to 24.18 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jet Contractors (CS:JET), which fell 5.24% or 8.90 points to trade at 161.10 at the close. Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM) declined 4.50% or 8.95 points to end at 190.00 and Snep (CS:SNP) was down 2.00% or 5.65 points to 276.35.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 33 to 11 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.88% or 1.01 to $52.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 2.08% or 1.17 to hit $55.07 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.28% or 3.35 to trade at $1186.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.07% to 10.7350, while USD/MAD fell 0.05% to 10.0394.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 100.62.
