Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Software & Computer Services and Construction & Building Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.15% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Total Maroc SA (CS:TMA), which rose 9.96% or 94.1 points to trade at 1039.0 at the close. Meanwhile, IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) added 5.76% or 6.25 points to end at 114.75 and Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM) was up 5.36% or 8.95 points to 175.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU), which fell 4.03% or 5.10 points to trade at 121.40 at the close. Snep (CS:SNP) declined 2.81% or 2.30 points to end at 79.50 and Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX) was down 2.67% or 3.85 points to 140.15.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 18 to 15 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Total Maroc SA (CS:TMA) rose to all time highs; gaining 9.96% or 94.1 to 1039.0.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 3.48% or 1.55 to $46.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 3.18% or 1.48 to hit $47.96 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.18% or 2.45 to trade at $1344.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.08% to 10.9220, while USD/MAD fell 0.13% to 9.7055.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.23% at 95.19.
