Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Holding Companies, Utilities and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Micro Data SA (CS:MIC), which rose 7.17% or 8.50 points to trade at 127.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) added 3.08% or 3.80 points to end at 127.00 and Delta Holding S.A (CS:DHO) was up 2.45% or 0.49 points to 20.49 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT), which fell 9.96% or 118 points to trade at 1067 at the close. IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) declined 5.97% or 6.70 points to end at 105.45 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) was down 4.76% or 20 points to 400.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 16 to 16 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 3.97% or 1.57 to $41.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 3.68% or 1.54 to hit $43.34 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.62% or 8.55 to trade at $1364.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.27% to 10.8910, while USD/MAD rose 0.25% to 9.7609.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.51% at 95.50.
