Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Forestry & Paper, Pharmaceutical Industry and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Micro Data SA (CS:MIC), which rose 9.65% or 19.25 points to trade at 218.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) added 5.98% or 78 points to end at 1383 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) was up 5.08% or 2.49 points to 51.49 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU), which fell 2.69% or 3.90 points to trade at 141.10 at the close. BMCI (CS:BMCI) declined 2.28% or 14 points to end at 601 and Atlanta (CS:ATL) was down 2.02% or 1.04 points to 50.36.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 23 to 13 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Micro Data SA (CS:MIC) rose to 5-year highs; up 9.65% or 19.25 to 218.80.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.02% or 0.01 to $48.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.19% or 0.10 to hit $51.47 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 2.15 to trade at $1203.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.01% to 10.7200, while USD/MAD rose 0.06% to 10.0532.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 101.19.
