Moderna, BioNTech Plunge As EU Studies Possible Side-effects Of mRNA Shots

Investing.com – Moderna (NASDAQ:MRNA) and BioNTech stocks (NASDAQ:BNTX) slumped by 15% each Wednesday on a report that Europe’s drug regulator is studying three new conditions reported by a small number of people after vaccination with Covid-19 shots to assess if they may be possible side-effects.

The conditions were reported in patients who took the mRNA vaccines made by either Moderna or BioNTech-Pfizer.

Pfizer stock fell 3%. Expenses and profit from the Covid vaccine are split equally between Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) and BioNTech.

BioNTech-Pfizer is the biggest supplier of Covid-19 vaccines to Europe.

Just over 43.5 million doses of Moderna's vaccine have been administered in the European Economic Area as of July 29, the EMA said, compared to more than 330 million doses of the BioNTech-Pfizer shot.

I had side effect of moderna after second shot, after 5 hours starting to became dizzy and felt like will vomit and sweating from the forehead and chest and very tired and unable to do anything. After 3 days it went och back to normal again.

What is your source? It seems that this only a headline article (vague) to get published. This si so vague. What is the base that a study lets the price plunge? It could be profit taking....and then journalist complain about fake news...

the already announced side effects are reported elsewhere and only minor compared to possible serious or fatal consequence of infected covid
So the reason everyone sold is that there are vaccine side effects?
What a useless article.  1.  What side effects is the EU studying? 2. With 330 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine and 43.5 dose of the Moderna vaccine administered how often do these side effects occur? I got the Pfizer vaccine in March and other than a sore arm and feeling blah for a day or two had no side effects.  According to the CDC in the United States less than 1% of individual receiving the Pfizer vaccine have more serious than those similar to the flu vaccine.

Article also does not mention what the 3 side effects were!
