Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Staples, Consumer Goods & Services and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC lost 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Telesites SAB de CV (MX:SITESL), which rose 3.22% or 0.320 points to trade at 10.210 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico (MX:GAPB) added 2.50% or 3.960 points to end at 161.920 and Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GCARSOA1) was up 1.76% or 1.390 points to 79.990 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA), which fell 3.05% or 1.060 points to trade at 33.670 at the close. Grupo Televisa SA (MX:TLVACPO) declined 1.95% or 1.820 points to end at 91.250 and Coca-Cola Femsa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:KOFL) was down 1.87% or 2.740 points to 144.270.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 84 to 75 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico (MX:GAPB) rose to all time highs; up 2.50% or 3.960 to 161.920.
Gold for June delivery was up 0.36% or 4.50 to $1242.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 6.17% or 2.30 to hit $39.56 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 5.96% or 2.35 to trade at $41.78 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.63% to 17.7613, while EUR/MXN fell 0.46% to 20.2453.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.29% at 94.23.
