Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Consumer Goods & Services and Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO), which rose 2.69% or 0.970 points to trade at 36.970 at the close. Meanwhile, Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA) added 2.40% or 0.850 points to end at 36.250 and Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) was up 1.81% or 4.670 points to 262.800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Industrias CH, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICHB), which fell 2.04% or 1.240 points to trade at 59.510 at the close. Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico (MX:SANMEXB) declined 1.95% or 0.580 points to end at 29.200 and America Movil L , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AMXL) was down 1.51% or 0.250 points to 16.320.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 93 to 64 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Industrias CH, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICHB) fell to 3-years lows; losing 2.04% or 1.240 to 59.510. Shares in Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.40% or 0.850 to 36.250.
Gold for August delivery was down 0.49% or 5.60 to $1147.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $51.68 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.09% or 0.05 to trade at $57.44 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.79% to 15.7850, while EUR/MXN rose 0.25% to 17.2798.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.50% at 97.28.
