Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Materials, Telecoms Services and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC gained 1.23%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA), which rose 3.28% or 0.660 points to trade at 20.770 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) added 2.81% or 1.690 points to end at 61.840 and Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB De CV (MX:GFREGIOO) was up 2.81% or 2.85 points to 104.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA), which fell 2.56% or 0.590 points to trade at 22.420 at the close. Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) declined 1.86% or 0.57 points to end at 30.01 and Gruma SAB de CV (MX:GRUMAB) was down 1.12% or 2.93 points to 258.07.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 165 to 62 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA) fell to 3-years lows; falling 2.56% or 0.590 to 22.420.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.19% or 2.49 to $1278.41 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.12% or 0.58 to hit $52.48 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.81% or 1.04 to trade at $58.41 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.77% to 19.2206, while EUR/MXN rose 0.84% to 22.6074.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 93.81.
