Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Telecoms and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which rose 5.75% or 0.660 points to trade at 12.130 at the close. Meanwhile, Exor NV (MI:EXOR) added 1.43% or 0.75 points to end at 53.30 and Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI) was up 1.41% or 0.18 points to 12.96 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which fell 2.47% or 0.080 points to trade at 3.154 at the close. Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) declined 2.20% or 0.63 points to end at 27.97 and FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK) was down 2.07% or 0.15 points to 7.09.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 217 to 130 and 19 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.07% or 0.51 to $48.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.18% or 0.61 to hit $52.48 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 2.35 to trade at $1293.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.37% to 1.1804, while EUR/GBP rose 0.65% to 0.9232.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 93.19.
