Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 1.95%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banca Popolare di Milano Scarl (MI:PMII), which rose 7.59% or 0.0378 points to trade at 0.5355 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Popolare Sc (MI:BAPO) added 6.10% or 0.1880 points to end at 3.2700 and Saipem (MI:SPMI) was up 5.62% or 0.0202 points to 0.3795 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI), which fell 0.79% or 0.055 points to trade at 6.865 at the close. A2A (MI:A2) declined 0.63% or 0.008 points to end at 1.266 and Italcementi (MI:ITAI) was 0.00% or 0.000 points to 10.540.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 296 to 112 and 14 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.74% or 0.37 to $50.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.11% or 0.56 to hit $51.11 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.08% or 0.95 to trade at $1246.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.1350, while EUR/GBP fell 0.85% to 0.7796.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 93.90.
