Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI), which rose 8.94% or 2.4100 points to trade at 29.3700 at the close. Meanwhile, Saipem (MI:SPMI) added 6.43% or 0.0320 points to end at 0.5300 and FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK) was up 3.42% or 0.19 points to 5.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP), which fell 5.40% or 1.39 points to trade at 24.34 at the close. Mediaset (MI:MS) declined 2.84% or 0.120 points to end at 4.100 and Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) was down 2.20% or 0.56 points to 24.95.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 176 to 167 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.13% or 0.07 to $53.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $55.47 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.85% or 10.35 to trade at $1200.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.0751, while EUR/GBP fell 0.63% to 0.8516.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.32% at 99.95.
