Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 0.62% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were First International Bank of Israel (TA:FTIN), which rose 2.00% or 95 points to trade at 4842 at the close. Meanwhile, Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) added 1.96% or 71 points to end at 3694 and Frutarom (TA:FRUT) was up 1.94% or 370 points to 19400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which fell 1.23% or 9.6 points to trade at 770.4 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) declined 0.75% or 130 points to end at 17230 and Isramco L (TA:ISRAp) was down 0.44% or 0.3 points to 67.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 222 to 112 and 104 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.62% or 0.28 to $45.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.77% or 0.36 to hit $47.02 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.00% or 13.35 to trade at $1318.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.03% to 3.8582, while EUR/ILS fell 0.14% to 4.2476.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.09% at 97.15.
