Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Communication, Biomed and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 0.61% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which rose 2.71% or 1400 points to trade at 53100 at the close. Meanwhile, Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) added 2.19% or 70 points to end at 3264 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) was up 1.98% or 77 points to 3970 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Osem (TA:OSEM), which fell 1.70% or 135 points to trade at 7800 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) declined 1.15% or 20 points to end at 1720 and Nice (TA:NICE) was down 1.10% or 260 points to 23390.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 187 to 136 and 130 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.66% or 0.63 to $38.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.67% or 0.27 to hit $40.32 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 1.68% or 21.40 to trade at $1251.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.02% to 3.8785, while EUR/ILS fell 0.26% to 4.3234.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 96.23.
