Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Real Estate, Biomed and Communication sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 1.38% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which rose 18.56% or 82.60 points to trade at 528.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) added 4.20% or 7,500.00 points to end at 186,000.00 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) was up 3.22% or 82.00 points to 2,630.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM), which fell 1.40% or 210.00 points to trade at 14,810.00 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) declined 0.92% or 35.00 points to end at 3,790.00 and Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) was down 0.89% or 80.00 points to 8,938.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 372 to 116 and 29 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $80.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.74% or 1.46 to hit $85.49 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.29% or 24.55 to trade at $1,923.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was unchanged 0.09% to 3.42, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.04% to 3.70.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 101.96.
