Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.38%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG), which rose 7.56% or 306 points to trade at 4354 at the close. Meanwhile, Energix (TASE:ENRG) added 4.90% or 56 points to end at 1198 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) was up 4.37% or 1180 points to 28170 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shikun & Binui (TASE:SKBN), which fell 0.94% or 19 points to trade at 2005 at the close. Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) declined 0.54% or 100 points to end at 18400 and Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT) was down 0.22% or 10 points to 4611.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 306 to 138 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 7.56% or 306 to 4354.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.52% or 0.99 to $64.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.11% or 0.76 to hit $67.48 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 2.13% or 35.70 to trade at $1713.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.49% to 3.3266, while EUR/ILS fell 0.04% to 3.9573.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 91.998.
