Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Media sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.77%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which rose 9.63% or 0.031 points to trade at 0.353 at the close. Meanwhile, Iaso (AT:IASr) added 7.58% or 0.051 points to end at 0.724 and FHL I Kiriakidis Marbles and Granites SA (AT:KRKr) was up 4.41% or 0.190 points to 4.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr), which fell 4.26% or 0.014 points to trade at 0.315 at the close. Centric Hold (AT:DESr) declined 3.45% or 0.004 points to end at 0.112 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) was down 3.40% or 0.008 points to 0.227.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 55 to 49 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Iaso (AT:IASr) rose to 52-week highs; rising 7.58% or 0.051 to 0.724. Shares in FHL I Kiriakidis Marbles and Granites SA (AT:KRKr) rose to all time highs; rising 4.41% or 0.190 to 4.500.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.51% or 6.21 to $1233.91 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 2.84% or 1.36 to hit $49.20 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 2.60% or 1.32 to trade at $52.16 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.43% to 1.0979, while EUR/GBP rose 0.24% to 0.8498.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 98.76.
