Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Food, Household and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 7.46% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.144 at the close. Meanwhile, Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) added 4.21% or 0.080 points to end at 1.980 and Athens Water (AT:EYDr) was up 3.85% or 0.20 points to 5.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Athens Medical (AT:AMCr), which fell 7.01% or 0.049 points to trade at 0.650 at the close. National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) declined 5.56% or 0.01 points to end at 0.17 and Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr) was down 3.45% or 0.040 points to 1.120.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 60 to 36 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.10% or 1.35 to $1304.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.10% or 0.49 to hit $44.17 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.49% or 0.69 to trade at $45.66 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.15% to 1.1122, while EUR/GBP fell 0.43% to 0.8872.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 97.03.
