Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Oil & Gas and Retail sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr), which rose 10.49% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.158 at the close. Meanwhile, Hygeia (AT:HYGr) added 9.40% or 0.014 points to end at 0.163 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) was up 5.61% or 0.060 points to 1.130 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were A.S. Company (AT:ASCr), which fell 6.38% or 0.021 points to trade at 0.308 at the close. Autohellas (AT:AUTr) declined 4.92% or 0.57 points to end at 11.02 and Euroconsultants SA (AT:ERCr) was down 4.46% or 0.0700 points to 1.5000.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 47 to 39 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold for June delivery was up 0.13% or 1.60 to $1236.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.09% or 0.87 to hit $40.84 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 1.53% or 0.66 to trade at $42.44 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.1323, while EUR/GBP fell 0.10% to 0.7936.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.26% at 94.43.
