Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Household and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite rose 1.87% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Euro Reliance (AT:EREr), which rose 15.22% or 0.350 points to trade at 2.650 at the close. Meanwhile, Centric Hold (AT:DESr) added 9.52% or 0.010 points to end at 0.115 and Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) was up 7.87% or 0.048 points to 0.658 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which fell 4.85% or 0.0080 points to trade at 0.1570 at the close. Intracom Hold (AT:INRr) declined 3.64% or 0.016 points to end at 0.423 and Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) was down 3.63% or 0.020 points to 0.531.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 67 to 33 and 19 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.64% or 8.21 to $1269.29 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.51% or 0.25 to hit $48.98 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.40% or 0.21 to trade at $51.92 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.54% to 1.0926, while EUR/GBP rose 0.28% to 0.8518.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 98.73.
