Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Utilities and Retail sectors led shares higher while losses in the Construction, Consumer & Cyclical and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX gained 1.45% to hit a new 1-month high, while the MDAX index fell 0.07%, and the TecDAX index added 2.07%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn), which rose 12.63% or 4.07 points to trade at 36.29 at the close. Meanwhile, Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG) added 8.47% or 2.07 points to end at 26.52 and Covestro AG (ETR:1COV) was up 3.53% or 1.68 points to 49.22 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG), which fell 3.22% or 17.60 points to trade at 528.80 at the close. Adidas AG (ETR:ADSGN) declined 1.33% or 3.00 points to end at 222.10 and Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:HNRGn) was down 1.33% or 3.10 points to 229.70.
The top performers on the MDAX were Krones AG O.N. (ETR:KRNG) which rose 4.19% to 129.40, Lanxess AG (ETR:LXSG) which was up 4.11% to settle at 28.64 and Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:WCHG) which gained 3.03% to close at 105.50.
The worst performers were TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which was down 8.14% to 11.45 in late trade, Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR:FMEG) which lost 5.50% to settle at 37.43 and Jungheinrich AG O.N.VZO (ETR:JUNG_p) which was down 3.57% to 34.56 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) which rose 12.63% to 36.29, Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which was up 2.83% to settle at 76.20 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which gained 2.00% to close at 13.76.
The worst performers were TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which was down 8.14% to 11.45 in late trade, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which lost 3.39% to settle at 37.00 and Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:SHLG) which was down 0.88% to 52.00 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 407 to 206 and 29 ended unchanged.
Shares in Krones AG O.N. (ETR:KRNG) rose to all time highs; rising 4.19% or 5.20 to 129.40. Shares in TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) fell to 52-week lows; down 8.14% or 1.01 to 11.45. The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 13.64 a new 1-month low.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.41% or 9.60 to $2,321.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.11% or 0.09 to hit $78.57 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $83.33 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.26% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 105.09.
