Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Financial Services and Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX declined 0.08%, while the MDAX index fell 0.61%, and the TecDAX index fell 1.08%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG), which rose 3.00% or 13.30 points to trade at 456.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:DTGGe) added 2.09% or 0.96 points to end at 46.82 and Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:HNRGn) was up 1.70% or 4.10 points to 244.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn), which fell 10.07% or 2.70 points to trade at 24.12 at the close. Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) declined 6.02% or 2.05 points to end at 31.91 and Merck KGaA (ETR:MRCG) was down 1.85% or 2.95 points to 156.85.
The top performers on the MDAX were HelloFresh SE (ETR:HFGG) which rose 10.94% to 7.48, Hella KGaA Hueck & Co (ETR:HLE) which was up 3.08% to settle at 83.60 and Gerresheimer AG (ETR:GXIG) which gained 3.04% to close at 105.20.
The worst performers were Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:AT1) which was down 7.05% to 1.77 in late trade, LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:LEGn) which lost 6.08% to settle at 70.12 and Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:TEGG) which was down 4.20% to 11.28 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which rose 1.42% to 34.20, Bechtle AG (ETR:BC8G) which was up 1.23% to settle at 49.37 and Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:VBKG) which gained 1.18% to close at 16.73.
The worst performers were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) which was down 6.02% to 31.91 in late trade, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which lost 3.74% to settle at 12.62 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G) which was down 3.53% to 54.60 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 342 to 288 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.00% or 13.30 to 456.90. Shares in Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:DTGGe) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.09% or 0.96 to 46.82. Shares in Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:HNRGn) rose to all time highs; up 1.70% or 4.10 to 244.60. Shares in Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) fell to 5-year lows; falling 3.74% or 0.49 to 12.62.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.49% to 12.54 a new 3-years low.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.16% or 3.45 to $2,164.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $81.23 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.06% or 0.05 to trade at $85.47 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.21% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 103.10.
