Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.03%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 5.17% or 0.275 points to trade at 5.590 at the close. Meanwhile, Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 33.25 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was down 0.09% or 0.04 points to 43.81 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which fell 5.09% or 0.85 points to trade at 15.84 at the close. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) declined 4.40% or 1.04 points to end at 22.60 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was down 2.40% or 0.66 points to 26.86.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 87 to 51 and 14 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 1.92% or 0.99 to $52.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.39% or 0.68 to hit $49.72 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.75% or 9.40 to trade at $1269.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.61% to 1.1748, while EUR/GBP rose 0.13% to 0.8950.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.58% at 93.23.
