Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.88%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which rose 0.53% or 0.20 points to trade at 38.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 0.24% or 0.015 points to end at 6.195 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 0.05% or 0.01 points to 21.54 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 3.74% or 0.3400 points to trade at 8.7550 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) declined 2.67% or 0.76 points to end at 27.70 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was down 1.82% or 0.12 points to 6.75.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 90 to 49 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 0.24% or 0.015 to 6.195.
Brent oil for June delivery was down 0.96% or 0.53 to $54.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.61% or 0.32 to hit $52.33 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1291.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.52% to 1.0698, while EUR/GBP fell 1.00% to 0.8384.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 99.70.
