Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.66%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 1.83% or 0.1100 points to trade at 6.1050 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 1.58% or 0.072 points to end at 4.618 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 1.57% or 0.41 points to 26.58 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which fell 5.13% or 0.250 points to trade at 4.622 at the close. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 1.64% or 0.67 points to end at 40.08 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was down 1.47% or 0.47 points to 31.43.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 113 to 60 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.57% or 0.41 to 26.58.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.95% or 0.50 to $51.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.24% or 0.63 to hit $50.16 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.08% or 1.05 to trade at $1254.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.33% to 1.1018, while EUR/GBP fell 1.13% to 0.9015.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 97.91.
