Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 1.24% or 0.085 points to trade at 6.945 at the close. Meanwhile, Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 0.88% or 0.100 points to end at 11.450 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was up 0.35% or 0.0250 points to 7.1750 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 1.98% or 0.70 points to trade at 34.74 at the close. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 1.94% or 1.05 points to end at 53.20 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was down 1.37% or 0.24 points to 17.31.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 71 to 64 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.24% or 0.085 to 6.945.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 1.06% or 0.53 to $49.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.80% or 0.38 to hit $47.28 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.48 to trade at $1281.68 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.26% to 1.1251, while EUR/GBP fell 0.63% to 0.8705.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 96.78.
