Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Basic Materials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.50%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which rose 1.06% or 0.39 points to trade at 37.17 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 0.72% or 0.25 points to end at 34.76 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 0.71% or 0.045 points to 6.380 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which fell 1.52% or 0.85 points to trade at 55.05 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 1.38% or 0.160 points to end at 11.440 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was down 1.36% or 0.10 points to 7.26.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 92 to 45 and 14 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 2.16% or 1.03 to $48.82 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 2.50% or 1.13 to hit $46.26 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 2.01 to trade at $1223.71 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.54% to 1.1412, while EUR/GBP rose 0.34% to 0.8807.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 95.63.
