Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV), which rose 1.13% or 0.54 points to trade at 48.47 at the close. Meanwhile, Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) added 1.10% or 0.34 points to end at 31.38 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was up 1.02% or 0.040 points to 3.948 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 5.56% or 2.00 points to trade at 34.00 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 2.14% or 0.110 points to end at 5.030 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was down 1.19% or 0.1000 points to 8.3200.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 80 to 63 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.13% or 0.54 to 48.47.
Brent oil for March delivery was down 0.19% or 0.11 to $56.35 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.23% or 0.12 to hit $53.14 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.55% or 18.05 to trade at $1183.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.05% to 1.0598, while EUR/GBP rose 0.38% to 0.8543.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.01% at 101.45.
