Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 2.25% or 0.45 points to trade at 20.47 at the close. Meanwhile, Tieto Oyj (HE:TIETO) added 1.44% or 0.40 points to end at 28.22 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was up 0.86% or 0.37 points to 43.33 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 3.29% or 0.226 points to trade at 6.638 at the close. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 2.84% or 0.91 points to end at 31.16 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was down 2.72% or 0.109 points to 3.903.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 77 to 58 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.84% or 0.91 to 31.16.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.08% or 0.06 to $77.40 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.02% or 0.74 to hit $73.50 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.36% or 4.50 to trade at $1251.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.1577, while EUR/GBP rose 0.41% to 0.8846.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 94.92.
