Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.99% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 2.86% or 0.330 points to trade at 11.870 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 2.55% or 0.155 points to end at 6.235 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 1.72% or 0.36 points to 21.31 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V), which fell 0.28% or 0.08 points to trade at 28.07 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 0.14% or 0.02 points to end at 14.47 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 0.17% or 0.010 points to 5.810.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 87 to 43 and 24 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.94% or 0.45 to $48.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.74% or 0.34 to hit $45.98 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.60% or 7.74 to trade at $1271.76 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.12% to 1.1197, while EUR/GBP rose 0.72% to 0.8797.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 97.26.
