Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which rose 3.65% or 1.58 points to trade at 44.88 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 3.03% or 0.2500 points to end at 8.5000 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 2.46% or 0.130 points to 5.405 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which fell 1.56% or 0.67 points to trade at 42.19 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 1.37% or 0.11 points to end at 7.91 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) was down 0.86% or 0.13 points to 15.02.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 77 to 63 and 14 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.78% or 0.43 to $55.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.29% or 0.68 to hit $53.43 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.19% or 2.25 to trade at $1213.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.0760, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.8583.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 100.01.
