Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.84%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which rose 4.55% or 1.49 points to trade at 34.22 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 3.89% or 1.37 points to end at 36.58 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 3.37% or 0.148 points to 4.542 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which fell 3.84% or 0.152 points to trade at 3.810 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 0.09% or 0.02 points to end at 23.49 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was up 0.14% or 0.0100 points to 7.2950.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 113 to 73 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) fell to 3-years lows; down 3.84% or 0.152 to 3.810. Shares in Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 0.14% or 0.0100 to 7.2950.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 4.14% or 1.84 to $46.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 4.50% or 1.95 to hit $45.27 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.20% or 2.45 to trade at $1224.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.14% to 1.0722, while EUR/GBP rose 0.52% to 0.8639.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 100.22.
