Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.70%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 2.91% or 0.114 points to trade at 4.036 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 2.19% or 0.110 points to end at 5.140 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 2.11% or 0.83 points to 40.19 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which fell 0.31% or 0.11 points to trade at 35.20 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) declined 0.22% or 0.03 points to end at 13.63 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was down 0.12% or 0.03 points to 24.58.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 103 to 74 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.19% or 0.110 to 5.140. Shares in Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) rose to all time highs; rising 2.11% or 0.83 to 40.19.
Brent oil for January delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $48.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $47.95 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.36% or 4.25 to trade at $1183.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.03% to 1.0556, while EUR/GBP fell 0.16% to 0.8475.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.02% at 101.75.
