Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.58% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 1.51% or 0.1100 points to trade at 7.3800 at the close. Meanwhile, KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) added 1.49% or 0.66 points to end at 44.84 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 1.21% or 0.21 points to 17.54 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V), which fell 0.81% or 0.23 points to trade at 28.04 at the close. Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) declined 0.35% or 0.014 points to end at 4.024 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was down 0.33% or 0.03 points to 7.56.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 74 to 66 and 14 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 3.57% or 1.79 to $48.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 4.48% or 2.16 to hit $46.03 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.35% or 4.58 to trade at $1292.92 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.33% to 1.1241, while EUR/GBP fell 0.31% to 0.8707.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 96.78.
